I am interested in the posture pump, but before purchasing I need to know if it would be safe for me to use. I have been diagnosed with "severe cervical khyphosis" secondary to having a "Routine", Posterior Cervical Laminectomy decompression of 4,5,6 Vertebrae. I'm am now filled with titanium from the base of my skull through Thoracic vertebrae #4. I have had 5 surgeries, the first one done from posterior approach 2/2005. Then transferred to Johns Hopkins University Hosp. To have my partial HALO put in place to realign the wrecked spinal column. I had been dx with several herniations of 4-5 discs in my spine. That being said, the last 2 surgeries were "wound revisions" the very last one done in 7/2013. Would I possibly be a candidate for use of the Posture Pump? Please be upfront and honest, if you do NOT think it will help me please just tell me. I am so tired of people staring at me, I have bought so many things over the years to help with my posture and nothing has helped me. I can no longer work due to pain and a plethora of other issues caused by the khyphosis, as well as the pain. Thank you. I look forward to your response.
    Sincerely,
    Holly Owens

Hi Holly! Because you mention having titanium from the base of your skull through thoracic vertebrae #4, We would not recommend your use of Posture Pump® to you as this would be considered a contraindication. I am interested in finding out about this as I have had back surgery on l5 ruptured and repaired Full scan shows bone spurs through out spine. Headaches bothersome, I have pain in legs numbness in hands, I have worked on back exercizes, neck exersizes. Yoga helps some but I feel most of debiliating pain comes from my back. The pain between shoulders is so severe at times I can only lay down to ease pain. 10 min and I'm up going again.

Hi Raylene! Thanks for reaching out. Because you mention having had back surgery, we would highly recommend consulting directly with your healthcare professional to determine whether or not Posture Pump® is the best fit for you. If you have not had fusion/implanted spinal hardware on your neck, you would still be eligible to use our cervical/neck pain models. If you have additional questions for us, we welcome you to call 1-800-632-5776 [Office Hours: 8am-5pm PST, Mon-Fri.] & we'll be happy to help further if possible! Thanks again!

would it be beneficial to someone with Spina Bifida level 3-4 (parts of both 3 and 4 not all of both), need to get moving more,in my 40's andthings are getting harder to do. solooking for something low cost and that would be beneficial to me who has various issues with having this disability.

Hi Michelle! Feel free to show him/her our website: www.posturepump.com, and if either of you has additional questions for us, we can be reached by phone at 1-800-632-5776 (Office Hours: 8am-5pm PST, Mon-Fri *EXCLUDING LABOR DAY HOLIDAY*.) Interested in this. I am seeing a chiropractor now and have been told I have no curve to my neck. X-ray shows it to be straight up and down and I have a hump at the base of my neck in the back. Would this help?

Hi Tonia! Thanks for reaching out to us. The answer to your question is, yes! Posture Pump® would be most beneficial to you & would help reshape the loss of cervical curve you describe. Our recommendation for you would be the Posture Pump® Dual Disc Hydrator® (Model 1400-D), our most comfortable model which works both the neck & upper back/"hump" region. You can see more about this product by selecting "Back Pain Products" from the "Shop" tab/dropdown on our website. If you have additional questions, please feel free to call us at 1-800-632-5776 [Office Hours: 8am-5pm PST, Monday-Friday.] We're happy to help! Wishing you quick relief & the best of health. Cheers!

Many years, probably 15-20 years ago I had a product that looked similar and was used the exact same way. I don't remember them having one for back only for neck. I also remember the was no pressure control you could just keep on pumping. If I recall it was $ 300 or $350 cost. Well in about 3 month time it must have developed a hole someplace cause it wouldn't hold air anymore when you pumped. I never got my money back from that company. Unfortunately, I loved the relief it gave my neck pain and would buy yours In a heartbeat if I can understand your quality experience, and return policy if if develops a hole someplace.

Hi Michele! We are the original Manufacturers of Posture Pump® Products since they first debuted in 1994. The hand pumps on all of our products have a safety pressure-control valve, which limits the amount of air you can pump into the air cells of our models. Please rest assured that when you order on www.posturepump.com, you'll get a 6 month warranty on parts/replacement, as well as a 60 day money back guarantee. If, after using Posture Pump® for no more than 60 days you are not satisfied, send it back to us, and we will then refund your purchase price. You are responsible for the cost to ship the product back to us. We hope this answers your questions, but if not, feel free to call us directly at 1-800-632-5776 [Office Hours: 8am-5pm PST, Monday-Friday.] Thanks for reaching out. We wish you the best of health!

Could you please explain how pushing the neck further forward (anterior) could possibly do anything to correct an already forward head posture.?

    Reply
    • Posture Pump

Hi Michelle! Posture Pump® works to reshape/restore the natural, essential curve of the neck. When the neck and back lose their natural curved shape, the soft discs that are in between the vertebrae become compressed, and rich lubricating fluid is unable to penetrate and hydrate the discs. This causes premature aging in the form of stiff, dry joints. Posture Pump® counteracts that by lifting, stretching, decompressing, hydrating and shaping the neck and back into its “vital” natural curved shape. Feel free to give us a call at 1-800-632-5776, and we'll be more than happy to walk you through the process of postural restoration via Posture Pump®, step by step! Thanks for reaching out, and we look forward to hearing from you!
